BSE Capital Goods index down; BEL plunges 8% , Share market latest update

NEW DELHI: The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was down in Friday’s afternoon session.

Shares of Bharat Electronics (down 8.09 per cent) , AIA Engineering NSE -0.33 % (down 1.81 per cent) , Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 1.7 per cent) , Solar Industries India (down 1.51 per cent) , Carborundum Universal (down 1.39 per cent) , Siemens (down 1.23 per cent) , Finolex Cables (down 0.95 per cent) , Elgi Equipments (down 0.9 per cent) , Honeywell Automation India (down 0.82 per cent) , SKF India (down 0.78 per cent) , NBCC (India) (down 0.73 per cent) , Graphite India (down 0.68 per cent) , ABB India Ltd (down 0.46 per cent) , Larsen & Toubro (down 0.38 per cent) ,

Grindwel Norton (down 0.36 per cent) , HEG (down 0.34 per cent) , Hindustan Aeronautics (down 0.15 per cent) and Schaeffler India (down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The S&P BSE Capital Goods index was trading 0.82 per cent down at 17,450.14 around 11:38 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 57.35 points at 11,978.45 , while the BSE Sensex was down 156.7 points at 40,757.12 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 34 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Narayana Hrudayalaya Ltd., YES Bank, Bharti Airtel, NTPC, Tata Motors, United Spirits, SAIL and Wockhardt were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Having read this I thought it was very informative. I appreciate you taking the time and effort to put this article together. I once again find myself spending way to much time both reading and commenting. But so what, it was still worth it!
