JoSAA counselling registration to begin from today, JEE Advanced 2020:

ttention candidates, the online registration process for the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), will begin from today, October 6. Candidates who have qualified the JEE Advanced 2020 will have to register for JoSAA Counselling on its official website, i.e., josaa.nic.in.


IIT Delhi declared the JEE Advanced Result 2020 on October 5, on the official website, i.e., jeeadv.ac.in. The registration process for the seat allocation process for IITs, NITs, and GFTIs will begin from today. Therefore, candidates are requested to visit josaa.nic.in regularly.

Major changes in the admission process

JoSAA has recently made some major changes in the admission process this year. According to an official statement released by JoSAA, there will be only six rounds of seat allotment conducted in 2020 as opposed to seven rounds conducted in the past three years.

This has been done to ensure that the admission process is over before Diwali and the new academic session starts immediately.


JoSAA Counselling 2020: Important points to keep in mind

The seats across IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs will be offered and allocated through a common process by JoSAA. The JoSAA counselling registration will begin from October 6, 2020.

All the candidates who are eligible for admission after JEE Advanced 2020 result will have to participate in the joint seat allocation process by filling in their preferential choices of the courses and institutes. The detailed instructions for filling-in the choices and the seat allotment procedure will be made available by JoSAA through Seat Allotment Business Rules Brochure.

The schedule of the joint seat allocation will be announced separately by JoSAA 2020. Candidates are requested to keep an eye on the official website of JoSAA, i.e., josaa.nic.in.
